So this weeks theme has been Generation. We had to take photographs of people who aren't in our generation. As I live in halls I found this theme quite difficult, so I chose to focus on people who are older than myself in their day to day lives on the streets of preston. I noticed that many of them didn't look particularly happy, even when the sun was shining, I think this is sad. I am not happy with the images overall as I wish I could have gotten closer to the people to get better photographs.

Day Fifty Six: My focus in this image is the older man with a crutch and leaning on the post for support. The reason I noticed him was because he was polite enough to let the young lady in the image go through the gap first. He walked very slowly and with difficulty but was still a gentleman. I also like the contrast between old and young in this image.

Day Fifty Seven: This day was very hot and as I walked into town I noticed this woman sat in her boot of her car, eating her lunch and enjoying the sun.

Day Fifty Eight: I was in town and chose to photograph people who walked past me who we're older than myself. This image isn't one of my favourites but I like the expression on his face.

Day Fifty Nine: Again I was in town and chose to take photographs of people who were older than myself. I like the levels in this photograph, the level of the bench, then the level of the man in the wheelchair and then the level of the man walking in the other direction.

Day Sixty: Another shot of an older man in town, again I like the facial expression on this mans face and it makes me wonder what he is thinking about.

Day Sixty One: Just as I was waiting to cross the road I noticed this woman walking away with bags of shopping, although she's quite far away I like the leading lines of this photograph leading your observation to her.

Day Sixty Two: Im not completely happy with this photograph, however I do think the facial expression is interesting.

Day Fifty Four: My front door to my flat, bright colours tend to brighten your day, or at least I presume that's what they thought when they painted the entire block this colour.

Day Fifty Five: Lecture time, making notes. I like the depth of field with this one.

We're still on an open theme. Im not entirely happy with all of these images, but they were the best ones out of the ones I'd taken. I've also had an issue with my photoshop elements so I've had no editing software for about a week, hence the gap between the uploads.

Day Thirty Nine: Crossing.

These photographs are from the week I traveled home from the Friday after the post below until the Monday. There are a mixture of photographs, I am not happy with all of them but I chose the best of the selection. I admit in several of the London photographs, I am being a typical tourist but I don't care, I like taking photographs of things that interest me.
