Day Eighty Two: A night out to celebrate a friends birthday and this is one of my favourite pictures from the night, Becky just having some fun.

Day Eighty Three: Today I won an award for trampolining, didn't expect to win anything but so proud of myself.

Research: Rania Matar - I looked at her work because she is a modern documentary style photographer. These photographs are from her series A Girl and Her Room, and although these photographs look somewhat staged the girls look relaxed and happy being photographed. I like the style of these photographs. Although they don't directly inspire my work for the everyday, I do like the images and I can see them inspiring future work and I like that its a different style of documentary photography.

Research: Stephen Gill - I looked at his work because he is another well known documentary photographer. I chose a few images from his "Billboards" and "A Series of Disappointments" series. I looked at him again because he is a famous documentary photography and I have seen some of his work before.

Day Eighty One: Saw this on my way to a lecture and it struck me as odd. Its not exactly something you see everyday. I also liked the colour contrast between the bright pink of the balloons and the grey of the pavement and the car they are stuck under.

Research: Humphrey Spender - I looked at his work because he is another well known documentary photographer. I liked these photographs because I thought they documented different things well. I like that he's photographed general everyday things, people shopping and children playing.

Research: Eugene Atget - I looked at his work because he is a famous documentary photographer. He was one of he first people to go out and photograph the streets in the way he did. He inspired my work in the sense that I photograph my everyday life and that includes going through streets to my lectures, or to the shops etc. His work showed me that I could make the streets Im used to walking around interesting.

I particularly like this image as I think the timing is perfect, because I think it shows that everyday life is unexpected.

Thought it was about time I uploaded some of the research I've been doing since the beginning of the project. I've basically looked at a number of different photographers who documented things throughout their photographic career.

Dorothea Lange - I looked at her work because I liked the way she documented people and I think the people in the photographs tell stories.

This of course is probably her most famous photograph called "Migrant Mother". I like this photograph, even though I know how it was created and the amount of time she took the photographs from different angles, I still like it as it still a document/record of this woman.

I like al of these images I think they work really well as documents of the lives she photographs.
